Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Command Center Allows AI Capabilities to Mature
April 29, 2025

CHALLENGE

A Fortune 25 Telecommunications company rapidly deployed RPA technology (a combination of UiPath and Automation Anywhere (AA)) resulting in one full-time employee (FTE) operating and maintaining over 200 mission-critical BOTS. The client experienced delayed migration from AA to UiPath, insufficient tracking of work, and non-existent documented processes.

SOLUTION

With significant downtime and an average resolution time of 10+ days, the client knew they needed to find a way to efficiently optimize BOT operations to track work and documents. They chose to partner with Provalus to create a scalable, cost- effective team dedicated to quality operations.

THE PROVALUS DIFFERENCE

Provalus is people-centered. We hire dedicated, US-based individuals who are billed at sub-US onshore rates. We are revitalizing rural communities while providing our customers with the best possible talent. By joining us on our mission to revitalize rural America, our clients help us breathe new life into every small town we call home by creating numerous IT careers.

Provalus SMEs worked closely with the client team to define procedures and capture expertise, paving the way for future automation initiatives and additional cost savings. Based on the client’s goals, we:

  • Built a 24x7x365 RPA Command Center (RCC) team comprised of 100% onshore, dedicated resources
  • Created reporting to track and measure BOT utilization and performance
  • Leveraged utilization data to build a rust-away schedule to migrate all BOTs onto one platform (UiPath)

RESULTS
After partnering with Provalus, the client experienced higher compliance and increased BOT uptime results due to reduced customer penalties and stronger compliance with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations.

Issues previously resolved in over 3 days and are now resolved in less than 8 hours. FTEs now focus on key priorities rather than operations. Provalus coverage allowed for more senior resources to focus on key initiatives, saving the client $350k annually.

Most buyers treat IT outsourcing as a single category. It splits into four distinct scopes: Tier 1 and Tier 2 help desk, Tier 3 escalation and application support, NOC and SOC operations, and infrastructure and cloud support.

There's a word that gets thrown around a lot in the outsourcing industry: efficiency. Faster. Cheaper. Scaled. These are the metrics that dominate the conversation, and for good reason. Results matter. But somewhere along the way, a critical question got left behind. At what cost, and to whom? Provalus was built on a different premise. The best business outcomes and the most meaningful community impact are not in tension; They are, in fact, the same thing. Invest in people, places, and communities that surround them, and you don't sacrifice performance. You amplify it. That's what it means to be Anchored in America .
